The spirit of the workshop"Ethics is not a condition of occasional, but must always accompany the journalism as the buzzing hornet"
Gabriel García Márquez
Reporting gives us the chance to witness historic events, and meet the change-makers and the victims of those changes. It allows us to better understand the world we live in and explain it to our audiences, giving them tools with which to articulate their responses. But to do that, we need to exercise some basic premises: to know the context and the journalist’s responsibility, respect the victims, check the information and use a narrative technique that makes it possible to create an informative product that’s interesting and influential.
For that reason, we tackle the very essence of journalism: the best work strategies, tools and tricks of the trade acquired through decades of experience. And above all, the techniques for working safely on the ground and caring for our psychological stability during and after the coverage.
